Kitchenaid oval cooker

Cherry Pie Filling, 36 oz

1 can (21 oz.) cherry pie filling
1 (18¼ oz.) package yellow cake mix
½ cup (1 stick) butter, melted
1/3 cup chopped walnuts
Whipped topping or vanilla ice cream (optional)


Place pie filling in crock pot.
Mix together cake mix and butter in bowl.
Spread evenly over cherry filling.
Sprinkle nuts on top. Cover.
Cook on low for 3 to 4 hours (or high 1½ to 2 hours.)
Spoon into serving dishes and serve warm with an optional topping.
